Medical Standards:

- Shall fulfill the SHAPE-1 Medical standard (SHAPE-1 Means S- Psychiatric problems, H- Hearing Problems, A- Arms & legs problems, P- Hypertension (High BP), Heart Diseases, Diabetics (High Sugar), Obesity, cancer etc and E- eye sight or Eye Diseases).

- Weight corresponding to height and age as per medical standards.

- Eye Sight: Each eye must have a full field of vision.
    Distance Vision – 6/6 for both eyes
    Near Vision – N/5 for both eyes

- must not have knock knees, flat foot, varicose vein and squint eyes.

Selection Procedure:

Selection Procedure:  the selection process consists of 5 phases, they are

Age Limits: The age is considered as on 1st January 2016 and the upper age limit relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/BC/Ex-Servicemen category candidates as per the government rules.

Minimum Age – 18 years

Educational Qualifications: minimum educational qualification for this recruitment is (Considered as on 29th September 2016)

- 10+2 or its equivalent from recognized Education Board/university

- Must have passed Matriculation exam with Punjabi as one of the Compulsory or Elective Subject or any other equivalent exam in Punjab language.

Physical Standards: The candidate’s minimum required height for this recruitment is

Height – 5 Feet 7 Inches (5’ 7”)

Horse riding: ability to ride is a basic requirement for this Constable post of Mounted Armed Police in Armed Police cadre.

- Knowledge of Horse, stable management and ability to ride.

The candidates will be short listed based on the marks given in Height Measurement, Educational Qualifications and Additional Skill by each Regional Recruitment Board and submitted entire Preliminary merit lists at central recruitment board. The Central Recruitment Board will prepare the Statewide Preliminary Merit list which will be approximately 3 times the number of vacancies as per notification and invite those short listed candidates for Certificate/Document Verification.
