Pay Scale:

Rs. 10,300/- to Rs. 34,800/- + Grade Pay Rs. 3,200/-

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate’s minimum eligibility requirements for this recruitment of Punjab District Police cadre like Nationality, educational qualifications, age limits and physical standards to apply for it. The details of eligibility criteria are as given below

Nationality:
- Should be a Citizen of India

Age Limits: Both minimum and maximum Age limits are considered as on 1st January 2016. Upper Age limit relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/BC/Ex-Servicemen category candidates as per the Government rules. The minimum age limit is common for all category candidates and the basic age limits of this recruitment is

Minimum Age – 18 years

Maximum age – 28 years (+ 5 years for SC/ST/BC, + 3 years plus the no. of years of service in Indian Defence Forces for Ex- Servicemen)

Educational Qualifications: these are the minimum requirements of the candidates to apply for this Constable (Driver) recruitment of Punjab Police

- 10+2 or its equivalent from recognized education board/university.

- must have passed matriculation examination with Punjab as one of the Compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent exam in Punjab Language

Physical Standards: The candidate’s minimum height requirement should be 5 Feet 7 Inches (5’ 7”)

Driving License:

- Must have a valid Driving License for LMV/LMV-NT/Heavy Motor Vehicle at the time of applying (Should upload the Scanned copy of Original Driving License at the time of Filling online application)

Application Fee: Application fee payment will be accepted in both online and offline modes. The fee details are

General Category Candidates – Rs. 600/-

SC/ST/BC Category Candidates – Rs. 200/-

Ex-Servicemen – No Fee

Online Mode: Pay the fee through Internet Banking/Debit Card/ Credit Card at the time of filling the online application form.

Offline Mode: After submitting the online application, download the Fee Challan form and take a print out of it. Pay the Application Fee amount at any branch of HDFC with the Challan form, after payment bank will be given candidates copy of Challan form after stamping. The candidate needs to upload the Scanned copy of the Candidates Copy of challan by logging in using his username & password.

Selection Procedure:  the selection process consists of 5 phases, they are

1. Substance Abuse (Drug Addiction) Test (SAT)

2. Physical Screening Test (PST)

3. Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

4. Written Examination Test (WET): Driving Aptitude Questions (Knowledge of Motor Machinery, Road & Traffic Signs, General Awareness etc and also test the candidates Road Sense). No negative marking system for this written exam.

5. Driving Proficiency Test (DPT)

- Substance Abuse (Drug Addiction) Test (SAT), Physical Screening Test (PST) and Physical Measurement test (PMT) shall be conducted on a single day and the entire process of these tests shall be video graphed.

- The candidates who qualify in the first 3 tests will be called for written test and the written test is conducted for 50 marks.

- Based on the merit of the written exam, they will invite the candidates (double the number of vacancies of this recruitment) for Driving Proficiency Test (DPT). Driving Proficiency test is qualifying nature only.

 Physical Screening Test (PST):  the events list of PST

- 1600 meters Race to be completed in 6 minutes 30 Seconds (1 chance only)

- 3.80 meters Long Jump (3 chances)

- 1.10 meters High Jump (3 Chances)

1400 meters walk or run to be completed in 9 minutes (1 chance only)
1400 meters walk or run to be completed in 12 minutes (1 chance only)

4. A new window will be opened, in that Click on Click here to Download Admit Cards link.

5. Enter User Name & Password Correctly.

6. Click on Login button.

7. Written Exam admit Card will be displayed, take a printout of it or save it.
