Eligibility Criteria: The required eligibility criteria of the candidate to apply for this recruitment of Punjab Police like Nationality, age boundaries, educational qualifications & physical standards are as given below

Nationality: Indian Citizen

Age Limits: Age is considered as on 1^st January 2016 and the upper age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, BC and Ex-servicemen as per government rules. The age limits other than these categories are

Minimum Age – 18 years

Maximum Age – 28 Years

Educational Qualifications: Considered As on 1^st September 2016 and Minimum educational requirements of the candidates to apply for this SI post is

- have Passed Matriculation exam with Punjabi as one of the subject from a recognized education Board/university. (Compulsory)

- Graduation or its equivalent from a recognized University.'

Physical Standards: Minimum Required height of the candidate for this recruitment is

Male – 5 Feet 7 Inches (5’ 7”)

Female – 5 Feet 3 Inches (5’ 3”)

Application Fee: application fee will be paid in either online and offline modes. (After completion of the Basic Registration of the online application)

- In online mode of Payment, candidates will pay the fee through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.

- In offline mode of Payment, Candidates need to download the challan form and take a print of it. Deposit the Fee amount in any branch of HDFC with the Challan form.

General Category – Rs. 700/-

SC/ST/BC Category – Rs. 300/-

Ex-Servicemen – No fee

Selection Procedure: Three phases of recruitment process for this recruitment

i) Physical Trails: It contains Substance Abuse test (Drug Addiction test), Physical Screening Test (PST) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT).

ii) Written Test: This is OMR Sheet Based object oriented exam with 100 Marks (Qualifying Marks is 45% marks for SC/ST/BC candidates and 50% Marks for other candidates).

iii) Interview: Candidates who qualified in written test will be called for Interview on the basis of merit in written test. Interview will be of 15 Marks only. (The number of candidates called for interview would be 3 times of the vacancies as per the notification).

Events of Physical Screening Test (PST):

Male	- 1600 Meters Race to be completed in 6:30 Minutes (Only One Chance) - 3.80 Meters Long Jump (3 Chances) - 1.15 Meters High jump (3 chance)	- 1400 Meters Walk and Run to be completed in 9 Minutes (Up to 35 years) and 12 Minutes (more than 35 years)(Only One chance) - 10 Sit ups within 2 minutes (Up to 35 years) and 3 Minutes (more than 35 years)
Female	- 800 Meters race to be completed in 4:30 Minutes (Only One Chance) - 3.25 Meters Long Jump (3 Chances) - 1 Meter High Jump (3 Chances)	- 800 Meters race to be completed in 8 Minutes (Only One Chance)

Important Dates:

Online registrations are started from 1^st September 2016.

Last date for online applications is 21^st September 2016.

Closing Date of Deposit of Fee is 23^rd September 2016.

Physical Trails are rescheduled and it will be started from 9th October 2016.
