Eligibility Criteria: the required eligibility criteria of the
candidate in education, age and physical standards to apply for this
recruitment of Punjab Police are as given below. These are all the minimum
requirements for the post of intelligence Assistant.
Age Limits: The age is considered as on 1st September
2016 and upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/BC/Ex-Servicemen as per
the government rules. Here are the details of age limits for other than these
categories
Minimum Age – 21 Years
Maximum Age – 28 Years
Educational Qualification: considered as on 1st
September 2016
i) Knowledge of Punjab Language (must
have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective
subjects or any other equivalent
Exam in Punjabi Language, specified by Government)
ii) Should be a Graduate from recognized university or
institution and also possess an ‘O’ Level certificate of Information Technology
from DOEACC or NIELIT or its equivalent institution recognized by Government of
India or any State Government.
Or
B.Sc./B.Tech/BE in Information
Technology or Computer Science or Information Systems or B.C.A or Post Graduate
Diploma in Computer Applications from recognized university or institution.
Physical Standards: Minimum required height of the candidates
Male – 5 Feet 5 Inches (5’ 5’’)
Female – 5 Feet 1 Inch (5’ 1”)
Application Fee: Payment mode of the online application fee is in both
online & offline.
- In online mode candidates will
pay the fee through Debit Card/Credit Card/ Internet Banking
- In offline mode, candidate
needs to download the challan form after submission of the 1st page
of online application, take a print out of it and pay the fee amount in any
HDFC Bank or Police SAANJH Kendras.

SC/ST/BC category – Rs. 150/-

Selection Procedure: Selection process of this Punjab Police
recruitment 2016 for Intelligence Assistants (in the rank of Constable) is of
three phases, they are
Phase-I: Physical Measurement
Phase-II: Physical Efficiency
Test (PET)
Phase-III: Written Test
Certificate Verification: Certificate verification is conducted for
those candidates who are qualified in above 3 phases of Selection procedure.
Punjab Police recruitment Board will inform the short listed candidates through
SMS or E-mail for certificate Verification.
