In the probation period the candidate’s salary may be equals to Rs. 10, 300/-, No Grade pay, No annual increments, No Allowances except TA.

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must satisfy the required eligibility criteria in education qualification, physical standards and age boundaries to apply for this recruitment of Punjab Police Intelligence Cadre. Educational Qualifications: Considered as on 1^st September 2016

- Must have Passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the subjects or other equivalent examination in Punjabi language which may be specified by Government. (Must Have Knowledge on Punjabi Language)

- Should be a graduate in any recognized university or Institution and also possess an ‘O’ Level Certificate of Information Technology from DOEACC or NIELIT or its equivalent institution recognized by Govt. of India or any State Government.

B.Sc./ B.E/ B.Tech in Information technology or Computer Science or Information Systems or B.C.A or PG Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized University or Institution.

Physical Standards: The required Height of the candidate

Male Candidates – 5 Feet 5 Inches (5’ 5”)

Female candidates – 5 Feet 1 Inch (5’ 1”)

How to Pay:

Online Mode: Pay the fee amount through Net banking/ Debit card/ Credit card while filling the online application.

Offline Mode: Pay the Fee amount in any branch of HDFC/Police SAANJH Kendras through Challan Form, which will be generated after Successful submission of the registration page (1^st Page) of the online application.

Selection Procedure:

- First they conduct the Substance Abuse (Drug Addiction) Test for all the registered candidates. The candidates who clear this test shall only be eligible to appear the next test of the recruitment.

- Actual Selection Procedure will be started after completion of the Substance Abuse test.

- Four Phases of Selection procedure for this recruitment. They are

Phase – II	Physical Efficiency Test (PET)	Male: - 800 Meter race to be completed in 4 Minutes (Only one chance) - 9 Feet Long Jump ( 3 chances) - 3 Feet High Jump (3 chance)
		Female: - 400 Meter race to be completed in 2 Minutes (Only one chance) - 6 Feet Long Jump ( 3 chances) - 2 and 1/2 Feet High Jump (3 chance)
Phase –III	Written Test	Objective type questions for 90 marks (OMR Sheet Based test) General Knowledge – 50 Marks Quantitative & Numerical Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, reading Comprehension – 25 Marks Computer Knowledge – 15 Marks
Phase - IV	Interview-Cum-Personality Test	10 Marks for this Phase

- The final selection is based on Phase-III and Phase – IV marks of the candidate that is merit based.

- The Chairman of Selection Board shall submit the Final merit list to DGP, Punjab for approval.

- After given approval on the final list of candidates, the list shall be released in the official website of Punjab Police www.punjabpolice.gov.in.
