Selection Procedure:
1. Preliminary written test:
Objective type test with two papers (OMR Sheet based) and time duration is 3
hours for each paper. Minimum qualifying marks in both papers OC- 40%, BC – 35%
and SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen – 30%. The candidate needs to qualify in both the
papers.

2. Physical Measurement Test
(PMT): the candidates who qualify in preliminary written test will be
intimated for PMT/PET through official website http://recruitment.appolice.gov.in.
In PMT the candidate should satisfy the required physical standards.
3. Physical Efficiency test
(PET): Physical efficiency test is qualifying in nature for SI (Civil),
Deputy Jailor and Assistant Matron.
For SI (Civil), Deputy Jailor and Assistant Matron (Prisons):
- 1600 Meters (1 mile) run for
men & women and one out of the remaining two events

4. Final Written Examination:
The candidates who qualified in the above mentioned tests shall be required to
appear for the final written exam, which contains 4 papers and 3 hours time
duration for each paper. The minimum qualifying marks for each paper is OC –
40%, BC – 35% and SC/ST – 30%. The Paper-I and Paper-II are only qualifying
nature. Paper-III & Paper-IV marks will be considered for final selection.
