IAF AFCAT 2016 Notification: Indian Air Force recently released a notification related AFCAT 2016 for Flying, Technical and Ground Duty Branches. AFCAT is Air Force common Admission Test which conducts twice every year. This IAF AFCAT 2016 is for the courses commencing in July 2017 for both men and women in Short Service Commission (SSC) and Permanent Commission (PC). IAF invites all Indian Citizens, who are eligible and desperate to work in Indian Air Force, to apply online for this IAF AFCAT 2016 for Flying, Technical and Ground Duty Branches. The candidates who are interested to join in Indian Air Force as Commissioned Officers and satisfy the eligibility criteria of IAF AFCAT can apply for this IAF recruitment 2016 through online, the online registrations are opened from 4th June 2016 and the closing date of online applications is 30th June 2016. Age Limits: Age limits for each branch of IAF AFCAT Recruitment 2016 is different, check out the lower and upper age limits here and age is considered as on 1st July 2017.
Flying Branch:
Minimum – 20 years (not before 1st July 1997)
Maximum – 24 years (not after 2nd July 1993)
(Upper Age limit is applicable for the candidates holding valid and current commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 years)
Technical Branch & Ground Duty Branch:
Minimum – 20 Years (not after 1st July 1997)
Maximum – 26 Years (not before 2nd July 1991)

Graduates (Minimum 3 years) in any discipline from recognized University with minimum 60% Marks or equivalent have passed Mathematics & Physics at 10+2 Level or B.E/B.Tech (4 years) or Cleared Section A & B Exams of Associate Membership of Institute of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with minimum 60% Marks or euivalent
Technical Branch
Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics): AE(L)

Flying Branch: Rs. 82,050/-
Technical Branch: Rs. 71,550/-
Ground Duty Branch: Rs. 68,550/-

Important dates of IAF AFCAT 2016:
Online registrations started from 4th June 2016
Closing Date of online registrations is 30th June 2016.
AFCAT & Engineering Knowledge test will conducted on 28th August 2016.
