BSF ASI (Steno) & HC (Min) Recruitment 2016-17 Written Exam Admit Cards: BSF 2016-17 Recruitment for 36 ASI (Stenographer) & 121 Head Constable (Ministerial) application procedures was closed on 2^nd January 2017. Now Border Security Force (BSF) released the written exam date for Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer) & HC (Ministerial) post in the month of March/April 2017. The Written Exam will be held on 16^th April 2017 from 10 AM to 11:40 AM for ASI (Steno) posts and 23rd April 2017 from 10 AM to 11:40 AM for HC (Min) posts. The candidates, who were applied for this BSF 2016-17 Recruitment for ASI (Steno) & HC (Min), are shortlisted for written exam by the BSF Recruitment Board based on their eligibility criteria. The written Exam Admit cards/Call Letters have been issued to all the candidates from the specified Head quarter of BSF through Registered post to their Present Postal address. If any candidates do not received the Admit Card/Call Letter till 15^th April 2017 for ASI (Steno) written exam and 22nd April 2017  foir HC (Ministerial) Written exam then those candidates have one more chance to attend the written exam without admit card/call letter that is by submitting the Photocopy of any Photo identity proof along with the printout of the list where their name is indicated. The Admit Card/Call Letter contains the details of the exam like the date & Time and Venue of the written exam. Each & Every candidate need to bring the Admit card/Call letter or required documents (if no admit card/call letter) at the time of going to appear the exam i.e., on 16^th April 2017 for ASI Steno post and 23rd April 2017 for HC (Ministerial).

BSF Recruitment Notification 2016-17: Border Security Force (BSF) recently announced about its recruitment notification and released the notification on 5^th December 2016. This Recruitment notification is for the posts of Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer) and Head Constable (Ministerial) in BSF, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. The total number of vacancies available in this BSF recruitment is 157 posts, in that 36 vacancies for ASI (Stenographer) post and 121 vacancies for HC (Ministerial) post. Border Security Force (BSF) is inviting all Indian Male & Female candidates to apply for this 2017 ASI & HC recruitment if they are interested. BSF released the format of the application for this recruitment along with the notification. The candidates who are interested and eligible based on the post requirement can apply for it and sent the application form along with the required documents by post to any one of the centers on or before 2^nd January 2017 (Centers list is given below). ASI (Stenographer): 36 posts

SC – 12 posts (Direct Entry – 10, Departmental – 2)

ST – 24 posts (Direct Entry – 20, Departmental – 4)

Head Constable (Ministerial): 121 Posts

Pay Scale:

For ASI (Stenographer) post:

PB-I Rs. 5, 200 to 20,200/- + GP Rs. 2,800/-

For HC (Ministerial):

PB-I Rs. 5, 200 to 20,200/- + GP Rs. 2,400/-

Age Limits: Age is considered as on 1^st January 2017 and upper age limit is applicable for Government Servant (5 years for both ASI & HC), SC/ST (5 years for ASI only), Ex-Servicemen and other special categories of persons as per Govt. rules (what to know more information regarding upper age relaxation go through the official notification, link is given below). The age limits other than these categories is

Minimum Age – 18 years

Maximum Age – 25 years

Educational Qualifications: these are the minimum requirements of the candidates (for direct entry)

- Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from recognized board/university or equivalent.

- Minimum Shorthand Speed for ASI (Stenographer): 80 words per minute in English or in Hindi in 10 minutes and Transcription of dictation in English in 50 Minutes on computer or Transcription of dictation in Hindi in 65 Minutes on computer.

- Minimum Typing Speed for HC (Ministerial): 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi corresponding to 10500 KDPH in English/9000 KDPH in Hindi with average of 5 key depressions for each word on computer. (in 10 minutes)

Physical Standards: The minimum requirements of the candidate’s physical standards for this recruitment

For Male candidates:

Height: 165 Cms

Chest: 77 Cms (Unexpanded), 82 Cms (Expanded)

For ST category ASI (Stenography) only - Male

Height: 162.5 Cms

Chest: 76 Cms (Unexpanded), 81 Cms (Expanded)

For Female candidates:

Height – 155 Cms (For ST category – 150 Cms only for ASI (Stenography))

Medical Standards:

1. Eye Sight: Distance Vision should be 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other eye without correction (without Glasses/lenses or Lasik surgery).

2. Must not have Knock Knee, Flat Foot, Squint in eyes, Varicose vein and should possess colour vision between colour perception- I to III.

3. Must be in good mental & bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

4. Having permanent Tattoo on any part of the body will be debarred for BSF Recruitment.

Examination Fee: Pay the examination fee through Bank Draft/Postal Order and fee is exempted for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Women candidates. For HC (Ministerial) post SC/ST candidates come under general category so they need to pay the requisite fee. The fee particulars are

Note: The Bank Draft/Postal order is in favor of the Authority to whom the application is address and payable at bank details are given below.
